Immense Disk Space Savings with SQL Server

Database compression dramatically reduces the disk space needed for an SAP NetWeaver system running on SQL Server. As of SQL Server 2008 R2, this uses an improved encoding algorithm for Unicode, also known as Unicode-compression. This results in less storage requirements for SAP Unicode systems.
