SQL Server 2008 R2 and SAP
SAP encourages its customers to upgrade to SQL Server 2008 R2 to benefit, for example, from more efficient Unicode-handling and new BI features. For more information about the SQL Server 2008 R2 features, see the FAQs. SQL Server 2008 R2 is an enhancement to SQL Server 2008 and has the same code base. Therefore, there is no entry for SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition in the SAP Product Availability Matrix (http://service.sap.com/PAM).
